The Research Patient Data Registry (RPDR) is a centralized clinical data registry. It gathers data from various hospital systems and stores it in one place. Researchers with proper IRB approval can perform real time, on-line searches to obtain detailed clinical information resulting in faster turnaround and extensive specificity of patient criteria. The security of patient information is ensured by the IRB approvals and by several built-in, automated security measures.
The Medical Imaging Informatics Bench to Bedside (mi2b2) workbench aims to facilitate searching, acquiring, and previewing medical images for quantitative metrics for diagnosis, prognosis and treatment response that is stored in multiple PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) systems. Information can only be retrieved via a specific tool which ensures that only approved patient scans are accessible and also limits the number of simultaneous downloads made by a single user. The security of patient information is ensured by the IRB approvals and by several built-in, automated security measures.
The i2b2 Center develops a scalable informatics framework that enable clinical researchers to use existing clinical data for discover research and when combined with IRB-approved genomic data, facilitates the design of targeted therapies for individual patients with diseases having genetic origins.
The Partners HealthCare Biobank (Partners Biobank) is a large research data and sample repository sponsored and funded by Partners HealthCare (Partners). The Partners Biobank provides access to high-quality, consented samples and data to help foster research. The Partners Biobank provides banked samples (plasma, serum and DNA), genomic data, and other health information, including data from the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), to investigators who are affiliated with a Partners institution.
Partners HealthCare Innovation coordinates industrial relationships and IP management across Partners HealthCare, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and McLean Hospital. Partners Innovation goal is to take medical inventions and innovations discovered by Partners HealthCare researchers and provide the appropriate support and infrastructure to allow technology development, commercialization and, ultimately, the development of products to benefit patients.
The Center for Clinical Data Science uniquely combines a wealth of healthcare data with world-class computational resources and technical know-how to deliver unique solutions in close collaboration with our physician thought-leaders.
